Robert Oleśs d2d.pl publishing house has just published “Jak projektować kroje pisma. Od szkicu do ekranu” — the Polish edition of the Spanish-language book “Cómo crear tipografías” by Laura Meseguer, Cristóbal Henestrosa and Jose Scaglione. It’s a wonderful introduction to type design. I had the great pleasure of working as the co-editor of the Polish edition. It was another in the series of my collaborations with d2d.pl — first as co-editor of the 2007 Polish edition of Robert Bringhurst’s “The Elements of Typographic Style”, then as contributor to the 2009 Polish edition of Jost Hochuli’s “Detail in typography”. I congratulate Robert on his tireless work in bringing the best books about typography to the Polish reader. I also thank the authors (Laura, Cristóbal and José) for the assistance they gave me when I was editing the text. And of course, many thanks to the translator Nina Pluta who turned the Spanish text into wonderful Polish that was a pleasure to work with.
