Robert Reich makes a very very compelling argument that there is a war on the poor and working class...and the chances of breaking out of that cycle are less and less. We also watched his awesome documentary Inequality for All - feature documentary film on Netflix the other night - which explains that it hasnt always been this way in America. In fact, there was a period of great prosperity when moving into the middle class (and beyond) was much, much easier and we ALL profited from this. As is stated in the film, The middle class makes up 70% of the spending in our economy. If people cant afford to buy, companies wont grow.
