Rocket dog friends and family .. So, its rare that I beg for help. (..ok.. nevermind ..we all know thats not true..) But - its really urgent - so I am asking - *please help* if you can provide foster for two weeks or share with those who might.. we have to secure a few pitbull foster homes this week! These dogs have had a hard start in life, having the misfortune of falling into the wrong hands , they were seized in a big dog fighting ring in east Oakland - luckily the dogs that were taken by OAS have proven to be lovely sweet souls - its pretty clear (to me) that they were not actually used for any fighting, but sadly , their fellow dog friends were not so lucky. The staff at Oakland Animal Services have gone above and beyond to help these animals, they have some of them out in dog play groups -theyve performed extensive behavior evaluations, They did not choose to be chained in a yard, no love, no affection, no warmth or food. these Pitbulls are very very nice and really deserve this chance . Please help us to help them . So far, rocket dog has been able to rescue 2 of these pups - that are happy and safe in foster homes, there are 7 left needing rescue.
