Roleplaying - An act in which you respond to situations you have complete knowledge of in the most ignorant fashion you can. Example: Lukko is confronted by the Dark Brotherhood of Skyrim with an offer to join their ranks by playing a little game. The game involved three hostages and the only information given was that there was a contract out for one of them. And so the decision of who to kill is given to Lukko by the Dark Brotherhood leader Astrid as a test. You can kill any hostage and pass the test. You can kill any two and pass the test. You can kill all three and pass the test. Your reward? Access to a powerful organization that includes the two master level trainers in light armor and alchemy, payment for assassinations in the realm of 34,000 septims, exclusive and very powerful items.. and the eldritch steed Shadowmare to call your own. Lukko shoots Astrid in the chest and frees the three hostages, failing the quest and turning down a vast array of rewards. Because Astrid thought she was being more clever than him with her little game. His reward? The satisfaction that he won the game and a pitiful sum of 3,000 septims if he kills the rest of the Dark Brotherhood as a service to the Imperial Legion. Me: "Why did I just do that?.."
