Roth Drug (SW corner of 21st and Irving)—Housed in a building with a modern, streamlined design, with a mortar & pestle high up above the roof line, this was another of the neighborhood druggists that carried a variety of goods, in addition to the pharmacy. Like so many other small neighborhood places, it was done in by the big chains in the 1990s, and the building has been substantially altered for a group of offices.
