Roxanne Walchester (facebook friend from Swansea) messaged me saying she had been woken up on Friday night, actually, 2 am Saturday morning to pray for my ‘friends’ in Congo. Did I know any reason why? I phoned Yambalu this afternoon who immediately knew why. About a year ago, a man had been ‘hired’ to kill him after he had refused to command the church to attend a political rally; the man had been arrested after breaking the glass in Yambalu’s door (and also on the Landcruiser car) and Yambalu had had time to run away until neighbours stood between him and the would be assailant. This same man had been nowhere near Yambalu’s house...until the time Roxanne was praying for him during the early hours of Saturday morning. Yambalu now has a guard dog. The dog had unfortunately gone missing that night. The man came with a gun during the night and was seen by several people. For some reason, which remains a mystery, he only went as far as a neighbour’s house and actually entered it, said a few words and then left. No one knows what stopped him continuing to Yamablu’s house. Yambalu had had to have armed police protection for several months after the initial incident. That had stopped, but praise God, praying saints still cover this wonderful family of God! Yambalu is massively encouraged by the prayers of facebook friends!
