Rs 10 million imposed: K‐Electric barred from collecting meter rent: Nepra on Friday barred K‐Electric (KE) from collecting meter rent with immediate effect, saying that Rs 7.50 rent per month from each consumer is illegal. K‐Electric, which is fighting for extension in Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for 650MW electricity from national grid, has been directed to pay the collected meter rent money back to 2.2 million consumers and submit a compliance report to the Authority within 30 days.
