Ruben worked this morning and then we packed the truck with 20+ boxes of books, magazines, and china (along with many framed pictures, prints, etc.) and drove into San Francisco to donate the items to Community Thrift for Dolores St. Community Services to benefit from the sale. Ruben drove over the new span of the Bay Bridge for the first time. It is rather spectacular, especially when you compare it with the old cantilever section it replaces and can be seen to the left of the new span. Due to heavy traffic, we chose to return to Hayward via the San Mateo Bridge. Not as spectacular, but quicker.
