Rules of TFP (Time For Print) TFP model - If you are a model that has done primarily TFP work and you ask a photographer for a shoot, then expect to pay for the shoot/pictures. - If you are an exceptional model and you will add to the photographers portfolio, then he/she might offer to shoot you on a TFP basis. This is totally up to the photographer and they may have other requirements, such as advertising and or soliciting possible clients. You can expect a limited amount of photos for your portfolio. Makeup and hairstyling may be provided or at cost to you. - If the photographer asks you to model for them, then you can expect a limited amount of photos for your portfolio. Makeup and hairstyling may be provided. Professional model (regularly paid) - If you are a model that has done paid assignments on a regular basis and you ask the photographer for a shoot, then expect to pay for the shoot/pictures. - If you are an exceptional model and you will add to the photographers portfolio, then he/she might offer to shoot you on a TFP basis. This is a colaboration between two professionals. You can expect a limited amount of photos for your portfolio. Makeup and hairstyling may be provided or at cost to you. - If the photographer asks you to model for them, then expect to be paid for the shoot and that makeup and hairstyling will be provided.
