Russia sends the humanitarian convoy to Ukraine. This was stated today 8/11/2014 18:50 PM (Moscow time) by Russian President Vladimir Putin during the conversation with European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, according to the official Kremlin website. The head of the Russian state discussed the catastrophic implications of the Kiev government military operations in the south-eastern regions of Ukraine and the need for urgent delivery of humanitarian assistance to the conflict zone. It is noted that the Russian side, in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross sends the humanitarian convoy to Ukraine. Vladimir Putin and Barroso also discussed some issues of cooperation between the EU - Russia, also in the context of Ukraines signing of the Association Agreement with the EU and Russian response to Western sanctions involving a ban on the import of agricultural products from the EU.
