Russia versus US and EU diplomatic row hightening on Crimea Peninsula.It is regional tension triggered by the removal of democrayically elected presidendent of Ukrain, Mr Victor Yunokovich lasted.Though the ousted president said he was still in charge from his sanctuary. It could be recalled 3 months ago the Ukrainians opposition went to street demanding for political, economic and anti protect reform from the govt of the ousted president.After long days of protest the former president Yunokovich approved the removal of his prime minister, reaffirmed Ukrain future to E.U and soft paddle the anti protect laws.Having done that, the protested called for his resignation to usher space new election.Something the former considered as illigimate demand to end his tenure prematurely while he has 2 years left in office.This pariticular line has lasted for weeks before the former president peaked refuge in Russia.He said he took such decision to leave because his life and that of his family was under threat..He wrote the later, according Russian president Vidimir Putin asking for Russia intervation on unfolding political events in Ukrain. It was within this background, the Russian president described the devt as opposition in Ukrain, and consequently deployed his troops in Crimea, a disputed seperatists region that was ceded to Ukrain in both Budepest and Basel conventions in 1994 and 97.Crimea are predominant muslim ethnic Russian speaking region who were demanding for independent from Ukrain over the years.Russia govt said the have right to defend her people in Crimea peninsula against the political devt in Ukrain.The acting president has called on Russia to respect Ukrains sovereighty by removing her soldiers in their soil.the Crimea.US and EU have back up this call.The US secretary of state John Kerry accussed Kremlin for acting on a pretext of invasion to Ukrain terroritory.The president Obama and him both called for descalation of Russian forces.EU has also joined the fray.What is left to see is whether this tension will degenerate to regional war between EU supported Ukrain and Russia.
