Rustburg, VA: COOPER the JRT mix got a quick visit to the vet yesterday to see what was happening with his wounds. He apparently was NOT hit by a car, but more likely was attacked by another dog. And since he has had a collar on recently, we speculate that he was tied out when it occurred, and couldnt get away. The wound on his hip is deep and is infected; it needs warm compresses twice daily, but it really hurts him to have us touching it. The vet wished she could put in a drain, but since he is still on stray hold with no where else to go, we do only urgent care and hold off on anything else. He is willing to take his meds orally, likes to go out for walks, and hopefully will feel much better very soon! Is he your dog? Please contact us! 434,821,4416
