S.F. Giants National Championship (Sample) Ring - 1989 Lang Antique & Estate Jewelry In the literally earthshaking World Series of 1989, the Giants were swept in four straight games by the powerhouse Oakland As. They werent going to get their World Series rings, but the National League saw to it that they received something to commemorate their otherwise victorious season. The Giants received the bold, striking and sturdy 10k gold ring pictured here. Its circular face features the words National League at the top and Champions along the bottom. The central image is the stylized Giants logo, colored with a black enamel inlay, spanning a circular field of full-cut diamonds. One side of the ring displays the surname of Giants right hand pitcher Ernie Camacho, with the interlocking San Francisco SF logo below it. To either side of the logo appear ribbons, each emblazoned with the names of the competing teams and their respective National League play-off scores: Giants 4 and Cubs 1. Beneath all of this is Camachos uniform number 13. On the opposite side, the year 1989 appears above the Battle of the Bay logo that was used that year for the all-California series. The logo features World Series in script, the Major League Baseball trademark, and the Battle of the Bay signboard, all superimposed over the Golden Gate Bridge. The ring is inscribed inside the shank: Balfour (the manufacturer) 10K LGB. We believe that this ring is a salesmans sample in which the simulated diamonds were replaced with authentic full-cut diamonds, totaling .35 carat. Go Giants!
