S-H-O-C-K-I-N-G!!! Buhari Defends Former Gov Nyako And Abacha. Gen. Buharis statement condemning former Governor Nyakos impeachment unsettles me. If I were Buhari, I would not have staked my reputation defending Nyako who was indicted for financial misdeeds. If I were Buhari, I would have told Nyako that you have disappointed me for refusing to appear before the impeachment panel to defend yourself against allegations of financial misdeeds by the Adamawa State House of Assembly. A man of integrity does not need legal technicalities to circumvent accountability. If you have nothing to hide, you should have nothing to fear. The simple question is: are the allegations of financial recklessness against Nyako by the lawmakers true or false? If they are true, then what is wrong if he answers EFCC invitation to defend himself? The allegations of a political witch hunt is diversionary as long as Nyako cannot successfully clear himself of these allegations of financial misdeeds. If you must fight for principles, then let your integrity be your armour. Dont let your so-called political opponents find any misdeeds they can use against you. Regardless of which party you belong, dont stain your reputation and blame political motives for your predicament when you are being held accountable.
