SCAM ALERT --- LOOK AND READ AND SHARE --- IMPORTANT I received the following e-mail saying it was from Amazon and something about it sounded odd so I called Amazon and they said that it was a scam e-mail and that it began showing up in peoples e-mail yesterday. The KDP program ~DOES NOT~ make off-cycle payments. If you get this e-mail, do not reply or click on the links. Hello, In September, KDP will issue a one-time payment to you via check. This payment will cover any royalties youve previously earned, but have not been paid for yet since your earnings had not met the $100 threshold. This is a one-time payment, and all other check payments will still be subject to the threshold and handling fee. Please verify that the payment address listed in your KDP account is correct. To verify your address: 1. Log in to KDP: https://kdp.amazon 2. At the top of the page, click [Your name] Account 3. Under Company/Publisher Information, double-check the information 4. Click Save 5. After saving, double check your account to make sure it has updated correctly You can sign up to receive future payments via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). With EFT, you will have no payment thresholds, and EFT is a faster payment method than check. To sign up for payment by EFT: 1. Sign in to KDP: https://kdp.amazon 2. At the top right corner, click (Your Name) Account 3. Scroll to the Your Royalty Payments section 4. Edit your existing bank account information if needed 5. To add a new bank account, click Add a New Bank Account 6. Click “Done” to save your Bank Account information 7. After saving, select EFT for each applicable marketplace in the “Your Royalty Payments” section 8. Click “Save” at the bottom of the page To learn more about our payment options, please visit our help page: https://kdp.amazon/help?topicId=AE24XS35AM53P Regards, The Kindle Direct Publishing Team
