#SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY NEW ZEALAND DEVELOPMENT SCHOLARSHIPS FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDY IN NEW ZEALAND Applications are invited from nationals of Algeria, Angola, Botswana, Cameroon, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Egypt, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe to undertake full-time postgraduate studies (for Postgraduate Certificates, Diplomas or Masters Degrees) at Universities in New Zealand commencing in early 2015. The New Zealand Government provides New Zealand Development Scholarships (NZDS) through the New Zealand Aid Programme within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The scholarships are available to eligible African applicants and will cover air travel, full tuition fees, an establishment allowance, and a living allowance to cover day to day costs in New Zealand. Applicants may also be entitled to return travel to their home country to see dependant family members under the Reunion Airfare Entitlement. The NZDS scheme aims to strengthen sustainable economic development in Africa by contributing to human resource development particularly: • agriculture development and • renewable energy The New Zealand Scholarships Application form and further details can be found at aid.govt.nz/funding-and-contracts/scholarships/eligible-countries/africa . Please complete two (2) application forms and attach copies of current curriculum vitae, notarised/certified copies of university certificates, transcripts, two (2) academic reference letters and one work reference letter, together with each application. All application forms must be completed in English and failure to do so will lead to automatic disqualification. All supporting documents must be translated into English by an accredited translator. A 500 word statement summary in English stating reasons for wishing to undertake postgraduate training in New Zealand and how the postgraduate training being sought will benefit your country must also be provided. Applications are to be submitted using the New Zealand Scholarship Application Form to the New Zealand education institution of the applicant’s choice.
