SCHOOL ON MONDAY: With bitter, perhaps record-breaking cold on its way, Chicago Public Schools officials are essentially leaving the decision up to parents in deciding whether to send children to school Monday. The district said Saturday itll keep all its schools open, but it urged parents to use their own discretion in deciding whether to send children to school. To keep students warm and safe, CPS plans to: have recess indoors; make sure boilers are turned on Sunday; and have students kept inside school until their ride arrives.
