SCIENCE*TECHNOLOGY*ENGINEEERING*MATHEMATICS (STEM) - is an interdisciplinary educational approach to learning where rigorous academic concepts are coupled with real-world lessons as students apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in contexts that make connections between school, community, work and our environment practical. The STEM EDUCATION is a system most advanced countries used in their educational dispensing at the early age where learning is fun, practical and engages the student interest. Learning is not just sitting in a class absorbing the theoretical aspect of text material as we do in Ghana and Africa so to speak, at a young age kids get a feel of the classroom instructional course being practically related to hands-on projects, this raise curiosity and engages student interest. Our educational systems produce non-practical skills set that is only knowledge based and white collar office job focused. What our educational system needs is curricular the engages our children at a young age with hands-on projects that teaches them how to solve the everyday problems in their communities. This should be upgraded in stages as kids move up in the educational ladder where skill sets are developed in correlation with science, technology, mathematics and engineering placing emphasis on talent development at industry specific educational institutions across country. We should in the end have a a 21st century workforce that has practical skills to add value to our natural resource that our economies need for growth but are being exploited by expat companies. Lets develop the Scientist, Product Designers, Engineers, Dedicated Health Professionals, Metallurgist, Computer Technicians, Machinist, Chemist, Architects, Environmentalist, Natural Resource Experts etc from the early-on, implementing a STEM EDUCATIONAL CURRICULAR will be key in our nations development.
