SCORE!!! Went the Dollar Store today, 24 items $29 and some change including tax. Thats enough for ATLEAST 2 boxes. The dollar store is a great place to buy little knick knacks and toys. The age groups are 2-4, 5-9, 10-14. Please avoid any army/war/guns/knives/hunting type toys, no glass items or any liquid items. No food or candy. No used items please. Today I bought multiple jump ropes, multiple sets of toy cars, multiple boxes of Disney cards, superhero figurines (without any violent appearances,) multiple boxes of crayons, multiple little coloring pads. Yo-yos, glow sticks, slinkies, noise makers, plastic jewelery, recorders, small picture books and stickers are some ideas! If you provide anything electronic, please supply a pack of batteries. Mind you toiletry/necessity items are allowed as far as toothbrushes, combs, brushes, panties, boys underwear, tshirts, socks, bars of soap and floss go. School items are great as well.... pencils(sharpeners,) markers, rulers, notebooks, paper, solar calculators. YOUR CREATIVITY AND THOUGHTFULNESS IS WELCOME! Remember most of these children barely have clothes to wear, the items were providing mean the world to them. REMEMBER THE KEY IS SMALL OR FOLDABLE ITEMS SEEING AS THESE ITEMS WILL BE PACKED IN SHOE BOXES. Just think, if youre praying about what you should buy, another child across the world could be praying for the very item that God lays on your heart! Each box will need $7 for the shipping fee, each box contains scripture to spread the word of God. To think of the many lives we could be touching blows me away! Cant wait to see what everyone gets and be able to box together as a body. Pray, pray, pray! Save, save, save! :)
