SDSUs 40th annual Afrikan Student Union High School Conference taking place on Friday, February 20, 2015. This conference is free of charge and educators,students, and parents may register online at: rohan.sdsu.edu/~asu/registeronline.html. The Afrikan Student Union is excited to present a lucky student with a scholarship to help pursue higher education. Our scholarship winner will receive an amount anywhere from $200-$500. The scholarship requirements are listed below. • Attend high school in California • Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA (Please provide an official transcript) • One (1) letter of recommendation • List of extracurricular activities • MUST attend the Afrikan Student Union High School Conference on Friday, February 20, 2015. • Essay Question: Must be a minimum of 250 words, double-spaced What is the most difficult challenge you had to overcome when dealing with socio-cultural factors (i.e. education, culture, race, and color) & how did you over come this challenge? The application must be submitted by January 15, 2015. The winner must attend the conference in order to receive the scholarship.
