SECOND ATTACK ON ANNAPOLIS BY IDEOLOGUES FAILS!! RUSH LIMBAUGH also fails to start fire in Annapolis (although he makes it too hot for Alderman Arnett.) The Capital and the Baltimore Sun tell us that: 1. Rush told radio aud that Democrats in Annapolis were going to snatch the powers of a newly elected Republican with a strong City Manager before he can even start . 2. Pantelides, the Mayor Elect (R,) says this issue got blown out of proportion. 3. Outgoing Mayor Josh Cohen (D) says it was a bad idea when they tried to do it to him and it is an equally bad idea to do it to his successor. 4. Trudy McFall, former candidate for the nomination for Mayor(D) says it is shameful of other Dems to take this up right after the election. 5. Alderman Paone (R) [who previously stated the timing was bad] says that he is not necessarily against the concept. 6 Alderman Jarrod Littman (D) states that his constituents are against it 7. In response to Rush, people from across the nation call Arnett to use totally inappropriate language and threaten him. True, letters to the editor in The Capital are all negative about the proposed change in the job the city manager. ,, one outing himself as a (D) who voted for Pantelides, IN SHORT 1 The Mayor elect refused to take the bait of a right wing radio host. 2. Aldermen both D and R were suggesting alternate times and ways for discussing the manager role as well as proposing other changes even before they had met.. Just keep moving on, Rush, nothing to see here.
