Instantly Jesus reached out His hand and grabbed him. “You don’t have much faith” Jesus said. “Why did you doubt me?” Matthew 14:31, NLT Our passage today contains the charge Jesus gave to one of His disciples – Peter. A storm arose against them on the sea and it was at that particular time that Jesus was walking on the sea; though they thought it was a ghost. Jesus saw that they were terrified and He told them He was the One. One of them, Peter, offered to meet Jesus only if He would let him walk on the sea and Jesus agreed. At a time, Peter began to sink. He cried, and Jesus helped him. Jesus told him he was sinking because “of his little faith.” Peter began to sink when his faith began to reduce. Your faith becomes little when: (a) you begin to concentrate on your storm instead of on Jesus; (B-) you trust in yourself rather than in Jesus; (c) you begin to doubt Jesus’ assurance. How is your faith?
