SELECT POLICE STILL TRYING TO ARREST HH A select team of police officers were by 22 hours local time still planning on how to storm in UPND leader Haikainde Hichilema’s house and plant seditious materials then arrest them. Earlier in the day, police surrounded the opposition leader’s house while waiting for Minister Steven Kapyongo to take a search warranty to them. Kapyongo was still arm-twisting a named magistrate to sign the search warranty by the time the Watchdog published the story thereby alerting UPND youths who rushed to their leader’s house to rescue him. Police were forced to retreat for fear of being beaten by UPND supporters. But due to pressure from senior PF officials, police changed tactics and decided to use the so-called Task Force on corruption and probably strike at midnight or in the early hours of Wednesday. By 22 hours, the police led by one Mokomongi had gathered at Cunnis, a drinking place near Woodlands waiting for further instructions from PF leaders. Hakainde Hichilema himself is believed to have left for Mangango but UPND youths are keeping vigil at his house to protect the family. In the afternoon on Tuesday, Police surrounded UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema house with view to find seditious materials. The background is that the government wants to find anything implicating on HH and lock him up to stop his presidential campaigns . A few weeks ago, Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili and his friend Shiwangandu MP Stephen Kapyongo went to see president Sata and complained that his health was worrying them and that if something happens, HH will be next president and will arrest them for various crimes they have committed while in government. Kapyongo is one of the deputy minister for Home Affairs. In response Sata told them they were also men with state machinery and wondered why they cant do something to HH now even killing him so that he does not rule. OP sources disclosed that two weeks ago Kampyongo and Chishimba Kambwili went to See the old man at statehouse. They expressed their worries that if he was to dye they Will be in trouble as the wind shows that HH and UPND Will form government and they Will be arrested. The old man told them to be strong and put up a strategy to make sure once he dies HH should also die because by so doing their worries Will be gone. So today the same Kampyongo went to court to get a search warrant for seditious materials in HH.
