SENIOR JCC EMPLOYEES LEADER Gafoor Dar joins NC NC-Cong steered JK to peace, stability: Rana JAMMU, MARCH 20- Prominent trade union leader and President J&K Trade Union Front Mohammed Gafoor Dar on Thursday joined National Conference along with his associates and pledged to carry forward the party’s cherished agenda across length and breadth of the State. Welcoming Mr Gafoor in the party fold, Provincial President Mr Devender Singh Rana exuded confidence that joining of right thinking people will further strengthen the cadre and help overcoming challenges confronted to the State. Earlier, Mr Gafoor met the Chief Minister and Working President of National Conference Mr Omar Abdullah and expressed the wish of his organization to work for realizing the cherished goal set by the party for dignity of people and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir. Mr Gafoor was profusely garlanded by the senior party leaders at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan. Addressing the workers, Mr Rana acknowledged their relentless campaign across the Jammu region for facilitating the victory of coalition candidate. He said National Conference-Congress alliance has steered the State to new era of peace, progress and political stability. “This momentum is to be consolidated for the larger interest of the people”, he said while referring to the challenges posed by elements inimical to peace and tranquility. He said unity remains watchword for upholding the cherished ideals, the people of the State adhered to even during most turbulent times. Congratulating the new entrants, Minister for Planning and Development Mr Ajay Sadhotra expressed optimism about massive mandate to the alliance candidates, saying the ensuing elections are going to stamp the performance of Omar led government during the past over five years. Sr State Vice Presidents, Mr Surjeet Singh Slathia , Syed Mushtaq Ahmed Shah Bukhari, Kr. Rachpal Singh, Mrs. Bimla Luthra, Babu Rampal, Sheikh Bashir Ahmad, Jugal Mahajan, Vijay Lakshmi Dutta also spoke on the occasion and sought peoples’ cooperation in carrying forward the developmental agenda by the coalition government.
