SERIOUS ROAD TRAFFIC COLLISION A472 Were appealing for witnesses following a serious Road Traffic Collision on the A472 between Pontypool and Hafodyrynys. The collision occurred at around 23:10 on Friday 19th December. A Seat Ibiza was in collision with a male pedestrian which resulted in the pedestrian receiving life threatening injuries. The driver of the Seat Ibiza has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and remains in custody at this time. The road was closed for a period while Specialist Officers examined the scene but it has since been reopened. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has any information is asked to ring 101 quoting log 553 19/12/2014.
