SHAK Makerspace- a collaborative creative space coming to Kokomo that features great tools and equipment for all your DYI projects. Demonstrations of Motorized-Tricked-out chairs will be featured on the Courthouse Square. The chairs use an AndyMark robotics competition inspired drive base with 2 pneumatic tires, 2 omnidirectional wheels, 4 electric motors, 4 speed controllers, and a microcontroller running custom software to convert the Wii nunchuck joystick signals into drive and steering signals for the motors. All this is powered by a 12v battery. They are also tricked out with multicolor LEDs glowing and blinking Vegas style. Mounted to these platforms are automotive drivers seats. One is from a Dodge Viper and the other is from a BMW. The driver sits in the seat and controls speed and steering with the Wii nunchuck joystick.
