SITE ISSUE update: I just got off another round with tech support chat (GoDaddy doesnt have phone support for our type of issue as crazy as that sounds) and it seems that we are making progress. From our chat: • Rob: I’m puzzled why ALL our files from the virtual server were not copied over by now. Wasnt that what was supposed to happen yesterday- or is it that we have so many files, that it is still copying over? • GoDaddy: It was a limitation as you have folders when large quantities of files are uploaded. This is a sub optimal setting and I apologize it was overlooked. You never want more than 1024 file and folders in a single directory as it will impede on performance.- •Rob: Ok- so what can I tell my partner? •GoDaddy: Rob, I would tell your partner this, that the migration was not 100% successful yet as there was a configuration issue with the amount of files being stored in a single directory. The database connection error issue is being looked into and resolved and should be done shortly. • Rob: OK- so all we are waiting for is for the rest of the files to be migrated. Correct? • GoDaddy: Correct, the files and database connection string updated :) So dear Authors and Artists, we are doing everything possible to get SelfPubBookCovers back to its rock solid self soon ( I hope!!!!) and a special thank you to EVERYONE for your patience and support.
