Tell the RSPCA I replied Its a greyhound I think she said Or could be a Lurcher And its locked up in the shed. My attention was then grabbed Ill help you if I can And immediately sent a message To a lady I know called Ann Get that dog whatever its breed Well manage some how youll see Just tell them youve found a good home Weve got to set her free Messages flew back and forth A rescue mission was planned And an hour or so later A new dog lead in my hand Its not a greyhound I told Ann But a brindle whippet pup My friend has mis-identified And got her breeds mixed up We arranged a meeting place For the little girl to change hands Gentle Sky was quite accepting I think she understands As soon as Ann did meet her She was taken by her beauty That little girl was to be re-homed Good for her the little cutie It wasnt long before She was settled into a new pack With Ben, Meg, Scally and Fleck And the handsome Applejack Her name they changed to Porscha Shes as lucky as can be Going for lovely long walks And lazing on a leather settee So now instead of 5 dogs Theres an extra one to bath But there arent really 6 dogs Theres only 5 and a half!
