SO here we go: The 10 Year Anniversary of Mission Statement Revisited 4-Show Tour......Coming Summer 2015 I know its hard to believe its 10 years old, I still think The Fragile is a new album and that came out in 1999. In 2004, I began penning songs that would become Mission Statement, I ended up writing 10 songs that had sort of told the story of one mans journey from innocence to corruption to isolation. I was extremely proud of the songs and I went to record them at my friend, Jeffs studio. It ended up taking 8 months to record, because anyone knows that when I do something musically, it needs to be the best I can possibly make it. He and I put layer after layer of sounds amidst doing all the drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, vocals, etc. ourselves. I cant write this without saying what an important role he had in putting the album together and making End of an Era and Mission Statement a reality. Regardless when we released it in June of 2005, it eventually reached a decent amount of peoples ears, and the reaction was astounding. People could relate to this journey, and quite a decent amount of people it was. It just unfortunately with the demands of performing live it was never able to be performed the way I always envisioned it.....from beginning to end. Songs like Pendulum and The Encompass (2 songs off of it that I still to this day hear how beloved they are) werent able to be performed as much because when you are performing live you gotta do all the energetic stuff so people will stay interested. Well since it was released I always envisioned doing it from beginning to end and presenting it the way it was meant to be presented....full on lights, screens, etc. an incredible production to match the music. Youll have to forgive me, it is something I am extremely proud of, and probably my most proud accomplishment of my life. I know there are tons of you right now saying huh? I never heard it. Unfortunately once it went out of print it had stayed out of print, but those that do own it and did fall in love with it know the experience, therefore I am setting out to bring that experience to you for the first time ....and the last time. This will be my closing out that chapter of my life which I never got a chance to do unfortunately. SOOOOOOO Heres the game plan. In the summer of 2015, I will be presenting 4 performances of MISSION STATEMENT in its entirety......2 SHOWS IN NJ, 1 SHOW IN EASTERN PA, and 1 SHOW IN MASSACHUSETTS. Lets get the elephant in the room out of the way, IS THIS GOING TO BE AN END OF AN ERA REUNION? .........No. Lets just the chances of that ever happening are NIL. I will leave it at that. HOWEVER, that doesnt mean that other former members of the band like myself arent invited to be a part of this. In fact if you are END OF AN ERA ALUMNI, you get first dibs on being a part of this experience. If you are reading this thinking...how come Steve never told me about this?? Believe me there was only one person I have spoken to about this so far so dont feel like I didnt tell you or left you out, EVERYONE I have played music with is invited to be part of the performance. I want you to know that if you choose to be a part of this I promise that I am not asking you to stop your life to do this, this is meant to be a fun thing, all I ask is for some rehearsals and to do the shows....AND you will be paid for doing it. I am financing this whole thing myself as well as being responsible of whether this succeeds or fails, so I want anyone that wants to be part of the performance to not have to worry about any pressure, this is meant to be a fun experience for all. When I say this is going to be an awesome show, I mean it.....this will be the best show you have ever seen by a local band i can guarantee it. Its going to be a show and an experience like you have never seen (screens, lights, smoke Im not kidding). IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BEING PART OF THE PERFORMANCE PLEASE MESSAGE ME (SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY)....I GUARANTEE YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME DOING THIS. Now the next few months I am going to be finalizing WHO is going to be a part of this. Then in 2015 we will announce the dates... THERE WILL ONLY BE FOUR PERFORMANCES TOTAL and they will be spread out over the summer. Ill have more info for you in the coming weeks, but I wanted to get this out there because its something I have already set my mind on doing....I hope those of you who know the album are ready for something amazing.
