SOAPBOX alert! How the hell can we live in a country that prides itself on GOD, uses his name on money, has added his name to the pledge of allegiance and purports to allow us freedom of religion to practice as we see fit that can allow laws to be written that make feeding or clothing those in need a crime? I am so outraged that the folks who live in these places have not protested and demanded the laws be rescinded? We need more kindness, more loving thy neighbor, more selflessness in this country. What crime is being done here? Ill tell you what crime... yours, mine and everyone elses rights are being eroded away a sliver at a time and no one cares or notices. These laws are an abomination to our constitution and our way of life. No one should be able to tell me I cant be kind to another or tell you either. I dont give a damn what some bullshit sociology research study or the homeless shelters say is the outcome of doing these kinds of acts are; we should be able to practice kindness anytime we want without having our hands tied or face going to jail for kindness. The fact is sometimes these acts are the only thing that stand between life and death for some. I wonder what the sam hell it is going to take to piss off the masses enough to stand up and say something, to do something, to stop the crazy train from derailing this whole damn country. I applaud folks like Chef Arnold in Florida who wont back down, the 90 year old dude is willing to go to jail for his lifes calling and for his fellow man. I have the utmost respect for him and others like him who feed the hungry and look out for their neighbors. Id like to say rant over, but I doubt it will be the last I have to say about the matter.
