If you got the gene from both parents you have a 64% chance of becoming obese. HERE IS THE KICKER: If you are the friend of someone who became obese while you are in friendship with them, you have a 171% increased likelihood of becoming obese. Wow. So, social habits are a huge contributing factor to obesity. We knew that! Its just no fun to admit it. If you hang out with people that chronically participate in unhealthy social habits, youre chances of falling into that same pattern is greatly increased.
