SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO UMMMMMMMMMMMMM this article by Ciku Muiruri still has SOME KENYAN men riled up. Here is a response from a Kenyan mguy LIVID at the article and the sentiments: Trolling the blog sphere this past week in search of juicy tidbits from the motherland, I came across this article by one Ciku Muiruri titled Kenyan men should step up or ship out. The article albeit scathing and presumptuous made for a most interesting read and thereafter a moment of brief reflection as a kenyan man. As my previous statement implies I do not hold domicile in Kenya and have not done so for a considerable amount of time. I however have been fortunate enough to have been able to visit Kenya frequently, and for extended periods of time. In addition to being pretty well travelled Globally. As a Kenyan man I feel a somehow adequate response is required when a very personal agenda in this case Ms Muiruris proclivities and preferences, is used in a very public forum to in my humble opinion insult and demean an entire populace. So to my home-girl Ciku, broad sweeping statements even when backed up by junk Darwinism have no place in the modern dynamic world that we live in. Your avowed quest for some kind of mass evolutionary cleansing is borderline insane, most likely fostered by too much time spent in front of a television. We are at best a transitional generation dealing with a complex array of issues with adjusting gender roles being one that comes to mind. My fellow kenyan men, in my humble opinion, have adjusted pretty well to these times. Needless to say your much touted point if analyzed from across the street might quite just work against your cause. Moneyed guys get with hot women so if you my friend cannot hook a whale.......you get my drift, it is not that there arent any whales in the water. After all when was the last time you looked at the gender wealth disparity numbers in Kenya, I can assure you the bag is not being held by our sisters. So in conclusion beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There is no universal standard for beauty. While my brother across the table might make a beeline for you when you step in the room, I on the other hand might be running the other way to escape your anti-hotness(sic). I think in this light, a public apology would be in order; chalk it up to a bad hair day or even better still, the age old twas the wrong time of the month. I am sure the kenyan man will be forgiving, after all dont we just love our Kenyan women.
