SOUTH BLUFF METHODIST UPDATE Last month, I put up a post about the restoration of the old South Bluff Methodist Church off Staples at Elizabeth. I went by the church yesterday, and restoration is continuing. New windows are being put in, new granite tiles are being installed in the front foyer, hardwood floors refinished, etc. The renovations are expected to be complete by sometime next month. Below are several more photos of the renovation progress. I also was able to meet with the pastor of the new congregation that will occupy the building.....an independent Church of Christ. His name is Gideon King Soliman and he was very enthusiastic about the renovations and the opening of his new church. He was very interested in inviting former South Bluff members to the opening sometime between mid February and mid March. He also was interested in finding out and preserving as much of the old South Bluff history as possible.
