SOUTH FORK FIRE RELIEF BENEFIT - Dave Mensch Music 431 Comanche Peak Rd, South Fork, CO 81154 Saturday, June 29, 2013 Noon The West Fork Wildfire, which ignited on June 5th approximately 14 miles northeast of Pagosa Springs, CO was reportedly caused by lighting. Since then, 80,000 acres have burned and the towns of South Fork, Wagon Wheel Gap, and the parts of Creede remain under evacuation. Families and businesses have been displaced and local musician Dave Mensch wants to help by scheduling the event called “South Fork Fire Relief Benefit”. Join us for a day-long event, rain or shine, starting at noon on Saturday June 29th at 431 Comanche Peak Road in South Fork Colorado. A donation of any kind for the emergency personnel and Red Cross gains you access to this afternoon and evening of incredible music, dancing and community fundraising for those who have been affected by the West Fork Fire. Monetary donations for the Red Cross among much needed items for the firefighters (listed at the end of this press release) are encouraged. Non-perishable food and toiletries are in need for those who have been displaced and a station at the concert will be set up for dropping off of these items. Those who cannot attend are welcome to bring the following items to any Del Norte or South Fork Fire Department: Bottled Water, Chapstick, eyedrops, new packages of socks, baby wipes, travel size soaps shampoos and sunglasses. Additionally, “On the Rocks” at 165 North Pagosa Boulevard in Pagosa Springs, CO is accepting donations during Dave Mensch’s show on Friday evening, June 28th.
