SPARE ME THE LECTURES....just mentioning this as a reminder. Ill be 52 in just a few weeks....YES I SHOULD have known better. When I came home tonight, I got my groceries out of my car, and my upstairs neighbors dog was chained up outside. He was whimpering. I had bought some treats for my dog, so I walked over and gave him one. It was small so I gave him another. I then patted his head, and he went all dog on me and growled/barked at me and as I was backing away, he jumped at me and bit the poo out of me,. Tore my shirt....it is bruised and bleeding a teeny bit, Not to offend...but I think I may have a pierced nipple now. It is throbbing a little. But I washed it and put Neosporin on it. Like I said, he was chained, but it happened so fast, he could have mauled me if he wanted to. Yes, hes a pit bull, yes they can be dangerous, but they have had him for 5 years, he knows me, is friendly to me, he isnt normally aggressive, he is even afraid of my cat. But he thought I was going to take his treat. I should have known better,. Just a friendly reminder to everyone, be very cautious around your neighbors/ friends dogs. I am okay, really. I asked the neighbor if hes current on all of his shots and he said he was, but yes, I will continue to watch the wound.
