And Simon Peter answered and said, thou art Christ, the son of the living God. It is our revelation of Christ that determines our placement in the kingdom. It is not what your friend says Christ is or your pastor but who Christ is to you. There has to be a personal revelation of Christ. [The key to the kingdom is the revelation of Christ as a saviour. Jesus cannot save you until you know him as a saviour. Confess your sin and let Him help you]. It does not matter how long you have been in Church until you have the revelation of Christ as a saviour, He cannot deliver you from your sin and you dont have access to everything the kingdom has to offer. All the disciples were quick to tell Jesus what people were saying about Him and calling Him but Jesus was more interested in what they knew him to be. Your placement in the kingdom, your authority in the kingdom is limited by your revelation of Christ. Immediately Peter confessed Christ as the son of God. Jesus started talking to him about the keys of the Kingdom. God cannot commit more into your hands in the kingdom than the revelation of Christ you have. It was Peter that made that confession. It was him that Jesus spoke to about the keys of the kingdom. All of them said what other people were saying but only Peter confessed Christ as the son of the living God at that point. God is asking you, who do you say Christ is today? Can you tell him what He is to you? He will not do more in your life this year than what you know Him to be. And if you will have Him commit more into your hands and do more for you, you must ask him to show Himself to you in a deeper revelation than you have known Him.
