SPIRITUAL DAILY DIGEST WEDNESDAY 21ST JANUARY 2015 IMPENETRABLE SECURITY (PSALM 34:3-10) “The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them” V.7 Whoever will not fear God will definitely fear things that are smaller than Him. Those who fail to serve the Creator of heaven and earth will be servants to creatures they have made by themselves. When you fail to magnify and exalt the name of God, your praise will be going to man and man-made materials. Romans 1:25 “who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshipped and served creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen” For those who have chosen to fear God, there is an assurance of impenetrable security and divine provision. The Angel of the Lord will always encamp around those who fear Him and no evil can come upon them. Many live in the fear of the world, they have to erect large walls, employ security guards (humans and dogs), yet their mind is not completely at rest. Some religious leaders are not left behind as they now employ security guards to protect them and you wonder, what is really happening? If the leader lives in fear, what assurance about God do they give to their followers? It is so obvious that the fear of God is completely gone; hence security is entrusted in walls, men and dogs. In any case, all these measures will only work when God permits. 1 Samuel 17:45 “Then David said to the Philistine, ‘You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of host, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied” David acknowledged the name of God and he was able to defeat Goliath with a stone and kill him with his own sword. Live in the fear of God, this is the only assurance of safety. Prayer Point: Almighty Father, let your fear rule my heart that your protection can be assured in my life and I can be delivered from all evils in Jesus name. Amen Food For Thought! “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God” Psalm 20:7
