SPIRITUAL EFFECT Her scarf lightly on her hair Her gown flowing down the chair As her hearth set forth in gratitude With smiles on her lips A calm and serene face She bowed down her head She folded her hands She sat erect, and she closed her eyes Then came the words with much whisper The grace before her supper All were astonished and gazed with wonder And so, whispered to another Never had we seen one such as her Who said the grace with such gesture With such grace, and such posture Here, she is of another nature Even the mouse behind the table And the horse tied in the stable Felt the spiritual effect, from the table Of the grace, of her humble soul.
