SRFC 97s : If at first .... I have the names of 41, yes 41 !!! players, be they current, former or just potentially interested in forming a u17 panel this year. On top of that, Glenn Preddy, the clubs CRO and a member of the senior team has taken on the role of head coach for this squad ! Other senior players have also expressed interest in helping out. Bitter prior experience tells us we are unlikely to convert all 41 contacts into players, so to push us over the line this time, we will also be joined by up to 13 players (and their coaches) from Clontarf who have agreed to join forces and enter a Suttarf or similar (TBD) team in the Metro competitions. As this competition has already started (we have postponed our early fixtures) it is not without urgency we get the squad going. For the half of you that I have numbers for, you can expect texts shortly, for everyone else, if you, OR ANYONE YOU KNOW, is (even remotely) interested in joining up with the squad, please let me know by texting or emailing your contact details to : 086 2754735 / [email protected] We can, AND WILL, do this !
