SRINAGAR 04-11-13:-Hurriyat Conference while commenting over recent stone pelting controversy said that usually the police creates disturbances and the nature of the stone pelting is not the same every time and everywhere but often in reaction and response the law and order situation takes the ugly turn. Hurriyat while commenting over the prevailing situation in Kashmir said that so for as Kashmir is concerned it is in no way different from other parts of the world. The reaction is expected even in those parts of the world where people are striving against the oppression and forced occupation and added it is in no way considered as an offence. Monday ,spokesman said that whenever the public meetings is being held and if the police or the authorities do not interfere ,then stone pelting or any reaction without any provocation is unjustified and a person with senses and wisdom can not resort to such activities and if any persons behaves likewise he is doing the harm to the freedom struggle. Syed Ali Geelani condemned the stone pelting which took place after the public meeting in Sopore was over ,however the spokesman said that sometimes on the behest of agencies stone pelting is started to disturb peaceful public gatherings and at times some enthusiastic youngsters are swayed by their passion and resort to stone pelting. However it cannot be justified, said spokesman and the opponents to resistant movement garner the political advantage from all this .However it becomes inevitable when police and administration prevents or stops the peaceful procession or rally from its onward march or when police resort to baton charge and pepper gas shelling. In such cases the resentment and response of people may take ugly turn and they are left with the only option for stone pelting and this is the reaction against the high handedness and bullying of police, said spokesman .In such cases the youth are not to be blamed as it is no fault of their, so there is no reason to condemn it, said spokesman. Wherever and whenever police use violence against peaceful people, response and reaction is expected and nobody can stop it, said spokesman. He said how it possible that innocent people be thrashed brutally and you will expect that they should not even cry for help. The philosophy of this type of non-violence is against human nature and in practice it is impractical. Nature has taught man lesson for his defense against the excesses and its admitted fact that he has the right to protect himself. As per fact and rule it is improper to adhere to callous approach and equally it is also a golden principle to follow and defend itself against every sort of oppression and human society has accorded this right of human being to defend him against all kind of injustice and suppression
