“STAND SILENT, AND SEE” BY APOSTLE KHUMALO When it seems there is no hope for you, and everything around you seems dark, only stand silent, and see the salvation of the Lord. During your darkest times, child of God, do not put your trust in people, who can forsake you, but rely and depend upon the Lord; He will lift you up higher than your imagination and beyond what you could have done in your own power. You may have thought it was over for you, but God says it’s not, because He is not done with you yet! In Exodus 14:1-4 God, who had commanded the Israelites to proceed out of the land of Egypt, instructed them to turn back, away from the direction of the Promised Land. To the people who had cried out to Him for their deliverance in Exodus 3, this may have seemed counter-intuitive; but God had a mighty plan to deliver them and silence their enemies forever. While Pharaoh thought there was no way out for them in their turning back , and came against them with a mighty army to destroy them, God said they were to fear not, but to stand silent and watch him fight for them (verses 13-14). That is His exact word to you in your situation today; stand silent, and see His salvation! In your life, it may have seemed that things worsened after you got born-again; you might even have murmured and complained about your decision to trust Jesus Christ as the Lord of your life, like the Israelites did (verses 11-12). God has a plan for you too. What appears to be a step back in your life, is actually God’s setup for your enemies. Like the Israelites, the enemies you see hounding you today, you will see no more because God will not take you to your destiny without having dealt with your past. The “Turn (back)” in verse 2 is not a setback, but an opportunity for God to glorify Himself in those coming against you. In turning you back, God is ensuring that He effectively deals with the negatives (witchcraft, curses, etc.) of your past so that He eradicates them, and so they will be forever gone from your life. Be comforted in your turning back, therefore, because something is about to happen; God is about to exterminate your enemies! And when He is done with them, no remembrance of them shall remain in your life; not one of the mighty Egyptians remained (verse 28). Praise be to the Most High for His salvation! God has not forsaken you, so do not allow confusion to send you into disarray. The devil specialises in spreading confusion, in the wilderness he succeeded in making the Israelites think they had been better off in Egypt as slaves (verse 11-12)! In whatever situation you may be in, do not allow the noise and your immediate circumstances to dominate your mentality, or your troubles to overcome you. Be like King David, who being deathly sick, told the Lord that he could not die as there would be one less person in the earth to praise Him. Do the same too and confess that no challenge will kill you; stop the confusion and stand still to see the Master’s mighty hand of deliverance in your life! He will send the earthquake and explosion that will obliterate your enemies forever! Stop worrying about your situation so much, saint; only trust God. Remember, you will never be able to part your Red Sea, and neither will your enemies be able to close it; it is all in God’s hands. The problems, witches, attacks you see today, you shall see no more forever, so stand silent, and see the salvation of the Lord! HALLELUJAH!
