STATUS...oh status. Hold on to status if you want to stay broke minded, have limited broke pockets, and maintain a sub par life that appears to be the false goal. Its laughable when I see people latch on to titles & labels..many a times thats the thing that defines these people. Dictates the steps they take. Ive seen people literally take food from their family because the title was beneath them! Wanna know something? I cleaned dirty apartments, did janitorial work all while i used to work a full time job. I did whatever I had to get where I wanted to go. Period...and id do it again if it takes care of my family. I can vividly remember being in the canteen at the job and some hotshot young engineer couldnt stop from hearing himself talk as he tried to impress us with the money he was making..As he inflated his ego with his condescending tone (being that i wasnt an engineer, lacked the perks, and never traveled)....Therefore i was less than apparently... Meanwhile, this 27 yr old kid was making more loot than my entire management staff. More than doubling my income...and working a full time job knowing you really didnt need it sorta gives a young kid options.. When you build yourself on the inside and know who you are, NOTHING can shake your tree. Youll never feel inadequate. Youll never have to measure up. You become comfortable with YOU. I only tell you this to convey the importance of doing what it takes to succeed, whatever it takes.. status keeps you broke minded and puts a lid on your life. Creating the life i live today took working my ass off, (and i still work my ass off), but it started with letting go of false titles and other pointless crap that only holds you back in life.
