STOP THE GAMES! When you find people are playing games with you - mentally jousting as though you were competing rather than cooperating - look at how your are engaging in the game. If youre honest with yourself, you may recognize that you unwittingly have been playing along. While you cant control others responses, you can influence them by choosing your own. Step away from the game. Step to the sidelines and regroup. Approach it with a fresh perspective without engaging in the tit-for-tat childishness. And it is childishness. Inside - of each of us - is a child with fears stemming from old unmet needs. Tend to your childs needs. Satisfying your own needs and then engaging with others as a peaceful, complete person, makes you stable, safe and attractive to work with. The games will be minimized, communications will improve and you will emerge as the leader youre here to be!
