STORM DEBRIS REMOVAL UPDATE Guilford County April 14, 2014 North Carolina Department Of Transportation began removal of storm debris on March 31. They will make one complete sweep through the he county to pick up debris on state-maintained roads only and then return for a second sweep through the area. The contractor will not pick up debris after the second sweep. Once pick-up is completed, the contractor will cut and remove damaged trees that are in or are over-hanging the right-of-way. All debris should be placed by the edge of the road as soon as possible to guantee pick-up.
