STORY YOU WILL HEAR AND WEEP FOR EASTERNERS----EASTERN PILOT REPORT The most important reason why the British colonial government amalgamated the protectorates of Northern and Southern Nigeria in 1914 was for the South to provide the money and other resources for administering the North as the British government did not want to spend her money to administer the barren North. Southern Nigeria was made up of the Central Province with headquarters at Warri and the Eastern Province with headquarters at Calabar, Lagos and its Yoruba land protectorate which hitherto been separated were joined to Southern Nigeria in 1905 – 06, making three provinces, East, Central and West each administering itself. The North remained one province. By 1906, revenues being generated by the southern provinces were about one million, one hundred thousand pounds (1.1million pounds sterling) while the entire North could only manage to generate one hundred and fifty Thousand pounds (150,000 pounds sterling), some 13.6% of what the South generated. The North was unable to generate money for the administration of its area and the British colonial government did not want to spend its money administering the North. This was how the South came to be saddled with this millstone, this onerous burden of providing resources for the development of Northern Nigeria. From 1914 to 1966, the South was providing a huge fraction of the money needed to develop the North. Today, the two provinces, (Central and Eastern) that originally made up resources that parasitic Nigerian Government feudalists used to develop Northern and Western Nigeria were criminally, deliberately and mindlessly allowed to suffer underdevelopment. The saddest part is that in the true character of parasites, the feudal Hausa/Fulani/Yoruba oligarchies who have been ruling Nigeria have systematically been destroying and killing the Central and Eastern communities that provided these resources, these monies. Here are just a few examples to help you see what we are saying. Of the three original Southern seaports, Lagos has been fully developed to handle ocean going vessels and load and unload cargo through the roll-on-roll-off. There is even a dry dock inland somewhere near Abeokuta. Warri, Calabar, and Port-Harcourt/Onne have been left in a state of Coma, a state of arrested development. There are international airports at Sokoto, Lagos, Kano, Abuja, Maiduguri, and even Minna. From Warri through Calabar to Enugu, there is not even one international Airport despite the fact that the Igbo and other people from this area are the most traveled of all the people in Nigeria. Enugu airport as international airport is only on paper as there is no cargo terminal and it is only Ethiopian Airline that flies there, the runway cannot accommodate big aircraft. Port Harcourt is a local airport that accommodates international flights for Oil Companies. How about roads? The best roads can be found in Northern and Western Nigeria. Universities, Research Institutes and other institutions of higher education located in Northern and Western Nigeria are given at least three times, often more, money than those from Warri through Calabar to Enugu. For example, a look at the budgetary provisions for research institutions in Nigeria over the years, especially for the years 2000 and 2001, which hasnt changed in this 2013-2014, would show that while a provision of N456 million was made for PRODA, Enugu in the year 2000, the provision was surprisingly reduced to N20.3 million in 2001. Yet, for the corresponding periods, Provisions of several other research institutes in Nigeria were increased as follows: National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development, Abuja, from N44m to N603m, Nigeria Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Karu, from N90m to N800m; Nigeria Institute of Transport Technology, Zaria, from N103m to N453m.; National Metallurgical Development Centre, Jos, from N142m to N300m; and National Steel Raw Materials Exploration Agency, Kaduna, from N430m to N1 billion. Yet everyone knows that PRODA has been more inventive and productive than all these other institutes put together. \ Hausa/Fulani/Yoruba oligarchies and their armed forces, corporations, parastatals, and other arms of government effectively shutting out the people whose money they steal to support their lavish lifestyles. From 1966 till date, Hausa/Fulani/Yoruba oligarchies have effectively enthroned mediocrity, ignorance, stealing, murder, laziness, corruption, looting of private and public property. They have no respect for merit, skill, knowledge, creativity, entrepreneurship, hard work. Freedom, liberty, justice, honestly and fair play. All they know is stealing, stealing and more stealing. To these Hausa/Fulani/Yoruba oligarchies it does not matter whether the people they put in these positions of responsibility have any intellect, skills or merit. This is why unemployment, corruption, murder, robbery, insecurity of life and property, decaying infrastructure, and all the evils that you can think of are at their worst in Nigeria. This is why Nigeria is the most corrupt country and one of the worst places to live on earth. Is that the kind of society you want? Is that the kind of country you want? We believe your answer will be a resounding “No”. Therefore, we must take back our society from these criminals. Biafrans do not want to administer Nigeria. We do not want to tell Nigerians how to live their lives. If they want to live like cave men or even like animals, that is their right. We do not begrudge them. All Biafrans want is to live like enlightened, decent, human being of the 21st century. Nobody can deny us that and the time is NOW!
