STRAIGHTUP FOLASOPHICAL!!! WHAT IS IT ABOUT HOME? When I read a while ago that Arnold Schwarzenegger returned to Austria where he was born after his governorship stint in California, I was surprised. With all the wealth and influence he had?. He, we heard, now shuttles between Austria and the US. In the bible, Jacob with all the wealth he accumulated in Padan Aram went back home. (Genesis 30). With all of the wealth and influence he had? Why do people go back home even if the home is in a hole and on hold? You get volume of bad news here, scanty good news there about your home, but you still feel the urge to think it is home, and you keep calling it home. But the home never gave you an opportunity to be somebody in life, home had tried many times to kill you and your dreams, and home still kills people and their dreams, but, you still call it home, and you want to go back. Many of your friends and loved ones at home have vowed never to call any other place home except for home. They tell you home is tough, rough and a terrain from where you must refrain, but you still want to back home! So it means that a man’s thirst and hunger to return to where he was born has nothing to do with his affluence, influence, comfort, wealth and position he enjoys in a foreign land? Hmmnn!! Why leave affluence, influence, wealth, security, and peace, and head for an unpredictable place you have always and still call home? Why? I am trying to find out, why? THIS IS SMACKDOWN STRAIGHTUP TALK!!!
