STRIKE PERSISTS ON MONDAY After talks and negitiation wit the management from friday,January,31st till the next day, the strike embarked upon by members of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), The Polytechnic, Ibadan, continues on Monday,February, 3rd, 2014, due to the inability of both parties to reach a compromise. This revelation was made by ASUP,AOCE general secretary, Mr.Olumide Moses Adediji, during an interview with VOA radio correspondent,Subair Jamiu Olakunle, shortly after the meeting this weekend. He also added that further negotiation with the management will continue on Monday, however, he gave no assurance on whether the strike would be called off next week. The about one month hold strike wch was sequel to the failure of the management to lift some offices like the posts of the Rector, Registrar, Bursar, among others from acting capacity to substantial post and also pay the remaining 40% of the union arrears as ealier promisd to be payed at the inception of 1st semester #
