STUDENTS HONORED FOR THEIR NOVEMBER WASHINGTON WAYS ... When Principal Marsha Neville announced the names of Washington Ways Award recipients for November the youngsters reacted in typical fashion; with enthusiasm and excitement. Whether they won an award or not, students were happy. They were only too happy to accept congratulations for a job well done or to cheer classmates who were being recognized. The Washington Ways initiative focuses on recognizing and rewarding positive behavior while encouraging students to be safe, respectful and responsible. Students across all grade levels are given various colored tickets by teachers and support staff members for exemplary behavior. The tickets can be presented to the youngsters throughout the day. November’s honorees included Gemma Bedell, Ada Cruz, Reagan Davis, Aiden Delfino, Fredy Lawrence-Alvarez, David Meza Umana, Marin Mullaly, Maggie O’Toole, Caleb Palermo, Christopher Rosales-Flores, Arianna Rubio, Lulu Russo, Haileigh Smith, Leuris Tavarez, Mia Thompson, Anne Tyrrell, Alexis Vasquez-Cruz, Sofia Vias, Parker Wands and Brandon Watts. The entire classes of kindergarten teacher Debbie Quiles and second grade teacher Suzy Dinehart were also recognized for their fine efforts. Congratulations to all!
