STUDYING THE WORD:The Question:Where do the Dead go at Death?what is hell and is it?The reason for this question comes from this premise:The faith,Hope and belief of a particular individual regardless of denominational inclinations as christians, will be tremendously impacted NEGATIVELY or POSITIVELY!The Christian character is moulded and shaped to a large extent by this which when solidified into ones permanent character proves as a determinant in where as destiny is concerned? Why?Because belief begins with a thought in the conscious mind. This is why the bible warns:Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind,be sober, and hope...1Peter1vs13.(KJV)God,who has all the rights over us,does not use force, coercion, duplicity or trickerly to convince us of any thing in this salvation story,He has blessed us with an inquiring mind capable of comprehending and discerning! This why he appeals to our mind(reason) first and then our hearts(emotions,feelings..so forth)Isaiah 1vs18Come now let us reason together...Jesus used parables for illustration which inturn stimulated the mind to think and make a decision based on conviction arising out of ones own volition not coercion! Now we are back to our question:Why do you believe what you believe?what forms as the basis for your belief? The church? The Bible?AFriend?A Pastor?who influenced you?Was your decision to believe what you believe taken using your mind(reason)or your heart(emotion)The Bibles tranlation of heart from a Hebrew setting or root word sometimes, amongs other meanings, refered to the center of ones mind ,emotion,feelings.2very thing Holistically, meaning one believe with whole being without doubt(Psalms15vs2,Romans10vs10).The snare is this:The entire christidom is divided on many points. Not because the bible is in disharmony,No!It is because of mans attitude towards the word! What we believe therefore,is it something we can die for?
