SUDDEN DEATH COURT STREET, DUNDEE Thursday, April 17, 2014 Emergency services attended in Court Street, Dundee, at about 10.30pm on Wednesday, April 16, after a woman, understood to be in her 40s, was found lying in the street. She was taken by ambulance to the city’s Ninewells Hospital where, tragically, it was later confirmed that she had died. The area where the woman was found was cordoned off for a time to allow forensic examination of the scene and enquiries into the full circumstances are continuing today. To this end officers would appeal to anyone who saw the woman in the time before she was discovered to contact them on 101. At the time the deceased was wearing black-coloured top and trousers and a blue baseball cap. Officers particularly want to speak to a boy, aged 12 to 14-years-old, who was in the street at the time the woman was found, along with an Asian man who was also there in a silver van. There are no apparent suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident but as with all sudden deaths a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
